Floral Nail Design (Inspired by Alice & Olivia Wedges)

I purchased the Alice and Olivia Wedges last week. I was completely inspired by the floral print that I decided to create something similar on my finger nails.  It's a very Cute, Flirty Floral Print.  It will be great to wear all summer long!

TheCurrentFavorite : NAILS, Floral SHOES, MAKEUP & Cookbook

I love Orly's New Feel The Vibe Polish Line.  I purchased Skinny Dip (Blue) and Dayglow (White).
I think i will even go back and purchase the orange and yellow colors.  They really look amazing!

I even used the two colors to create an American Flag inspired nail look.  My nails in the picture have been like this for 5 days with very minor chipping.

The two cosmetics products I have been loving this week are the NARS Larger Than Life Long-Wear Eyeliner in Rue Bonaparte and the Bare Minerals Pretty Amazing Lip Color in Free Will.

I use the eyeliner in my waterline.  It definitely stays much longer than most.  And it's a bonus that the color makes your eyes look much larger and more awake.

The lip color has to be one of my favorite colors to use for my lips.  It's nude, but still has nice pink undertones.

I LOVE my new Alice & Olivia Floral Wedges

They are very sexy, sweet and comfortable.
I find wedges to be the most comfortable heels you can wear.

AND..... Lastly, I have been cooking A LOT lately. And this book has been very helpful and has taught me a lot.  It's Delish's Cooking School

The recipes I have tried have turned out amazing and the book has given me lots of great ideas for other dishes as well.

What have you been loving this week?

TheCurrentFavorite : Week 2 (Face, Nails, Body & Yogurt)

Products Mentioned in this Video:

Aquaphor and Dior Hydralife BB Cream

After I had my 30% TCA Peel these products have been my skin savers!  The aquaphor protected my skin while the BB Cream made my skin look normal while it was still in the red zone!

Buxom Cream Lipgloss in White Russian and Creamcicle

These lip glosses smell incredible and I love the tingling sensation when I put them on my lips!

MAC Eyeshadow in Satin Taupe

This is such a pretty shadow color and it really compliments my green eyes.  I feel it would have the same effect on all eye colors.

Laura Mercier Body & Bath Creme de Pistache
Body Butter and Body Scrub

I absolutely love these products and I can't wait to see what else they offer in this pistachio scent.  It smells AMAZING!!

NAILS & JEWELS (May 17, 2012)

The last two weeks I have been wearing the same nail color.  I just think Essie's A Crewed Interest is such a beautiful color.   It's light and natural, but still eye catching.

I also LOVE my Ring Combination I have been wearing!  I just got the Lisa Taubes Gypsy Ring and I am so Happy I did!

My Nail Tech really Loves the Glitter Polish by OPI in Save Me.  She always asks me to bring it in, but I haven't really been feeling glitter polish.  So, I decided I would have her put it on my toes along with Deborah Lippmann's I KnowWhat Boys Like.  I am really not a fan of glitter on the toes, but I do really like this combo.

These are also a pair of shoes I have been wearing a lot.  They are by LD Tuttle.

DITL : Dolphins, Beach, Tacos & Sopapilla Cheesecake Recipe

I know Cinco de Mayo is really just another reason to get drunk in the US.  It's basically like St. Patrick's Day.  No one really knows what were celebrating, but major alcohol is called into play.

My husband and I didn't drink anything.  However, we did create a Mojito Video for the holiday.

We did have Tacos though!  How very festive of us!

And I made Sopapilla Cheesecake Bars.  (I googled Mexican Desserts and this one sounded great)

It was really easy too!

You can see the Sopapilla Cheesecake being made at 7:24 in the video below.

  • 2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 2 (8 ounce) cans refrigerated crescent rolls
  • 3/4 cup white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup butter, room temperature
  • Optional :  Honey

1.  Preheat an Oven to 350 degress.
2.  In a bowl, blend together cream cheese, 1 cup of sugar and the vanilla.

3.  Take a 9" x 13" Buttered Baking Pan.
4.  Unroll 1 of the cans of crescent rolls into the bottom of the pan.

5.  Place the cream cheese mixture on top of the Crescent Rolls.

6. Cover the Cream Cheese with the other can of unrolled crescent rolls.
7.  In another bowl, combine remaining sugar, cinnamon and butter.
8.  Dot the cinnamon mixture on top of the crescent rolls.
9.  Place in oven and bake for 30 minutes.
10.  Optional : Drizzle on Honey.
11.  Set Aside to cool.
12.  Once cooled, cut into squares.
13.  Enjoy!

The Husband & I went to party this weekend in the neighboring city of Casey Key.  We had a little time to spare before the party, so, we took a little drive over to The Jetties.

The water and weather were absolutely gorgeous this weekend.

Altogether, I would say my husband and I had a great weekend.  How was yours spent?!
